Hi,

1. Where can I get the crown bolt and cotter pin for the front left lower ball joint besides Honda who says 4 days to get it and/or is there a substitute I can buy and if so where?

2. When I tried to screw the original nut that came off when I drove in to my driveway today, back onto the ball joint bolt after couple of turns the whole bolt started to turn too. My mechanic said this normal. How do I keep the bolt from turning when install the new one. I suspect the beginning threads on the bolt and nut might have been slightly stripped. I'm hoping the new nut will work. Please advise as I'm neartly out of money and patience with this car though I still love it.

If your talking about lower ball... if you will take the whole spindle and pull it out toward you and get it in a bind you might be able to keep it from spinning so you can turn nut. Same thing with tie rod end take a open end wrench that fits on the flat spot and push down pretty hard while turning nut.Its worked for me. Older worn out ones are the hardest. Also try a lil lube on your nut ha ha ha GOOD LUCK. Can be pain in the ***

When you buy a lower joint, it includes the bolt and cotter pin. Although you could pick up a set of cotter pins at harbor freight for cheap
