i got a sweet deal on an r1, just wanna know how much they going for. its 2000 r1, blue, never been dropped, clean title, under 2k miles.
the thing is that its gonna be my first bike, so i wanna know how much ill get for it if i decide to sell it.

Take a look in cycletrader. That will give you the best idea for the value of the bike as it will be specific to your area.

i just ..you know... this forum...will never be anything more than a place for a handful of riders and a bunch of car people inquiring about bikes.

i am really askin this question from a financial standpoint. cuz im gettin the r1 for 5k, and in cali that is a really good price. i was thinking of pushing it back for around 7-8k. so i can afford a good f4i and some gear.
look i already said i will sell it if i decide that it is not right for me. look you can learn on anything if you use your head. why do you people insist on making people do things your way.

if you're really looking at this from a financial standpoint, get a used Ninja 250 for around 2500 and good gear, totaling about $5k

Could you expect any less Falcon?
Well if you want to buy it and re sell it to make money, that's one thing but getting an R1 as a first bike that's another.
My friend rode a 01 or 02 katana 600 for 2 seasons and thought he had enough expierience to step up to an R1. He still isn't comfortable yet after a few months of riding it. So much for the learning curve.
