Default Weird Brake problem

My first post in motorcycle forum.

well i just got my first bike, it was a steal!

2001 cbr f4i, 10000 miles mint condition, clean title

but it has a front brake problem. the owner was very open with me about it so i took it with out delay

the brake problem is as follows, sometimes the front brake doesnt grab, like you have to pull it twice, he thinks its a warped rotor pushing the pads out.

it only happens like once out of every 10 times you pull the brakes, but i just want to get it solved before i ride it hard

im not sure whats wrong with the brake,
but if it was my bike, i would just replace everything for piece of mind.
it could also be an excuse to upgrade to some sweet brakes .
SS lines, rotors, pads, calipers. the works.
good luck with fixing the problem if your on a budget.

make sure all connections are tight, bleed the brakes/change fluid, check pads, check master cyl

"I" before "E" except after "C"

But it does sound like bad rotors.
After i wrecked my f4i i had the same problem. I could pull the front brakes in and nothing would happen. My rotors were so bent that it hardly grabed if at all. So i replaced them and problem was fixed!

He is right about the rotors pushing the pads out as well.
