Zero-MPH stoppie... that's a new one on me... so the rear tire just magically jumps up from a stop? Damn, that guy must be good...

How fast was he going prior to braking into the stoppie? Do you know? No you don't.

Cool... since I'm going zero at stop signs, I really don't need to wear my helmet any more... thanks!

Your logic is flawed... sorry. And it really doesn't matter how fast you're going. If he were to fall on his head going zero, it would still be very bad. Your speed isn't the issue. Your height from the ground is. If you care to argue, go stand in your driveway and fall backwards, first. Don't catch yourself, let your head hit...

His head looks about as high as hers. And, she is on some unstable looking shoes. Just a helmet for her, then, or would a back protector also be prudent?

She's not riding a bike and stunting, she's not at a terrible risk of falling. If you really think it's not unsafe, by all means, don't wear a helmet. If you think it has only to do with speed, please, try my test. I don't think you will...

i know that you could easily get that high going 15-20mph. And hes a pro. Nothing wrong with that pic, pretty cool/creative if you ask me

I'm sorry but I think your logic is also flawed. It's not all about speed, that's true. But I'm not gonna gear up for walk am I? or a ride on my fiddie. I'm a strong believer in gear also but theres a time it's needed and a time that it's realy up to you. Riding on the street gear is a MUST because your not the one controlling what happens to you. Everything around you keeps changing and your at the mercy of the road and everyone on it. In an empty parking lot it's all up to you, and darius is a pro. Your choice to wear it, and I've seen a bunch of falls in parking lots and it's always just scrapes and bruises, that's how you learn.

Alright... to make things clear... I wasn't attacking that rider in particular... that's a sweet picture and I wish it were me... I was simply trying to point out that the comment made about it not being unsafe because he was at 0 MPH was incorrect, though I got a little colorful with it. I still maintain that it's the fall to the ground that causes the damage (to your head, at least), however.... that's where the greatest impact will come from. No, if you're in a parking lot, do whatever you want. I ride my bike down my dead-end street once in shorts and often with no shoes or helmet every time I finish washing it. I was just pointing out that your head is still in a lot of danger.

Maybe I should drink more... I feel like I'm being much more reasonable after having a few...

That was at the ace cafe in London. It's also illegal to not wear a helmet in the UK.

Woof, looks like his left wrist is going to have a few issues.

The rest of him will be fine when he bounces off the plastic bumper of the CR-V.
