The Squid Image Reference Thread:
Ok so I never knew what a squid was, so I read through all the pages, and now I know what a squid is, but more importantly never ever to dress like that unless I am moving my bike (if I ever got one) a short distance. That being said the picture above just reminds me of that guy how was doing a nose wheelie and how his fork broke spilling shock fluid everywhere. For some reason I am just imagining this guys forks breaking and I think it is one of the funniest things I could imagine.

some of the **** that's been posted here is just ridiculous. i didn't see your little smiley..my bad. oh well. it's just pathetic what some people consider squids to be. it's like the convention of all the retards i went to school with that try to pick on people for anything that they themselves are not capable of doing. it just seems like an insecurity thing to me. get over yourselves. some of the stuff like the grocery cart...etc i understand, but not everyone who just wants to have some fun on a bike is a squid.

Wow, youre really getting defensive here....
....so which one of these pictures is you??
Why'd you get rid of your signature? Afraid everyone is going to see you own a gsxr 1000?

Most bike accidents, statiscally, happens on short trips. So always gear up, it's better to lose 5 min gearing up, than 5 months on recovery

Not what I meant, I meant for example if I needed to move it out of the garage to get something, as in move it a few feet, not a trip down to the local circle K.
Thats also what my insurance agent, and my drivers ed class said, I think it was in a 5 mile radius of your house. And I completely agree with the gearing up, personally I think it looks cool. Maybe hot, but cool.

Gotcha. Yup, to move the bike in the garage in gear is overkill lol. Also I think gearing up looks cool lol

I got rid of the signature because i was reading through threads and was noticing that most people seemed to have more content in their signature's than in their posts alone. i realized that made you a squid and didn't want to be a part of it. The new gsxr 1000's are badass, why would i be ashamed to own one? Dumbass.

if i saw a guy dragging knee w/ a skateboard kneepad doing 120 up AFH i'd still think of him as a ******* moron/squid.
skill has nothing to do with it. in fact, being a skilled squid is even more damning because you should ******* know better.
youdon'tknowmeeither, i could give a rat's *** about being able to do parlor tricks on my bike. what i do care about is ************* dancing around on their bikes in traffic wearing no gear, causing traffic jams when they fall and lose limbs. because the avg citizen can't tell the difference b/w me and your avg. squid in spite of the extra 20lbs of gear i'm wearing, it means i'm more likely to get a door opened on me, pulled over for nothing, or pay more for insurance because some people aren't mature enough to know how to play with their toys properly.
if you feel stunters are mislabeled as squids, then you should take a good look at stunting culture and wonder why there's such a correlation to it, and being a gearless darwin award contender.

it doesn't.
a newb who can barely keep the bike upright but is properly geared up is not a squid. someone who can do can can's and the DMV riding course while doing an endo but can't be bothered to wear any gear IS a squid.
and then there's the issue of actual riding--at some point, people are capable of riding speeds that are much faster than the speed limits. whether on the freeway or in the twisties. it's not a huge amt. of skill to be able to do this, but people make the concious choice to ride like dipshits, whether it's within their means or not, and this too makes them squids.

im not debating what makes a squid and what doesnt. but to say that a trick like that does not take skill is asinine.

Lol... its the truth man. Talking out of your *** about something you have no idea about. If you can sit there and call stunting and taking twisties a walk in the park then you have never done it yourself. Thats why they say ignorance is bliss... because its gotta be nice to think you know it all when it fact you dont know anything.
