That is actually my biggest fear when riding...and also the burden it could have on my mom.

To be fair, anywhere you go, anything you do, there's the risk of something bad happening. Obviously the risks are increased when on a motorcycle, but we don't stop doing what we love because of the "what may's." I know I'm preaching to the choir here.
