Default should i pick up this gsxr

The bike has 13k miles, all the plastic is clean. Comes with 12 o'clock bar, and a engine cage. jacket and helment. All for 3500. This will be my first bike. Anything i should watch out or should know about the 2000 gsxr 600

clean title? sure.

check under the fairings for damage though; sounds like a stunt bike to me.

Sounds like a decent deal but like EGlovr said it's probably a stunt bike...

12 o'clock bar means some pretty serious stuntin', too.

heh why else would it have a stunt cage and a 12 bar?? it sure as hell isn't becuase it cuts your cornering speed in half!!

unless your going to stunt it i would not buy it, chances are its a +9 or higher in the rear sprocket, and if your new to riding (your first bike)that is a certain recipie for DISASTER! Do not buy a bike that is geared for stunting as your first bike...

haha poser with a cage and a 12 bar and no gearing?? come on now....]

**** i mean having a 12 bar and a cage on a bike thats not used for stunting is like having an extended swingarm on a bike that you don't strictly dragrace...

true, but i know people who extend their swingarm to keep them from pulling the front end up all the time.

they will almost never even see a dragrace.

I would only get an extended swingarm because I think it looks cool (within reason, that **** that's like a foot longer is gross)

i'll check on the gearing. Now is that kind of miles a lot, if it was a stunt bike. He told me he just got all those parts and wants to do track racing instead. The 12 o'clock looks clean doesn't even seem like its been touched.

Maybe he just never got good enough to do scrapers....

maybe he did just get all those parts, but make sure you ask him about the gearing cause thats the major thing...if he has stock gearing get him to put that on and you got yourself a perfect learning bike you can even crash it and not feel bad

if its geared its probably only like 8k miles.....which is nothing....

my buddys stunt bikes have upwards to 30-40k miles...

he said he did a lot of stunt with his friends bike, which sounds like a bunch of BS to me. I wouldn't let my friend stunt my bike, when they have their own. So I will check on the gearing, and look under the fairings to see damage.

I don't like the head lights on this year, is it possible to switch out the front head lights with let say an 03 model. And does carfax do bikes?

carfax does NOT do bikes.

you have to take the vin to the dmv.

looking under the fairings might involve more than just taking a peak under the plastics. i was thinking more along the lines of taking the fairings off to see what damage there was.

im sure you can fabricate some different headlights on there; direct bolt on might be a problem.

it still sounds like a good deal though. ugliest gixxer model imo, but still a good deal.

Check the 12 bar for scraping, if it's scraped up, check the the subframe to see if it's been replaced.

I doubt it's been stunted it's a SRAD and still carb. which makes wheelies pretty hard because the gas will run out of the carbs causing the bike to die.

what does SRAD mean. He said the bike has a stage 1 jet kit. Is a 00 gsxr any good for stunting anyway. I know the r6 are really easy to pick up. b/c the front is really light.

Check the frame to see if it's cracked....Stunt bike = busted frame.

dosen't matter which jet kit is in it, SRADs are not good stunt bikes.
