honda 919 low oil pressure light
Hello, new to the board. I have a 919 and just recently low oil pressure light started to blink while riding. It blinks around 6-7K RPM's. I changed oil and filter and it still comes on (blinks). Does anyone know what it could be? Should I still ride the bike?
The bike runs fine. Any replies would be appreciated. Mario

Re: honda 919 low oil pressure light (honda919)
if i am thinking of the correct bike (the 919 being the naked bike that honda offers) then it is a twin and you are relatively close to redline when you are in the 6-7k rpm range. so it sounds to me with it only blinking in the upper end of the rpm curve that you may have a problem with the leads somewhere in the bike and they are shorting, which is possibly causing the light to blink intermittantly.
i would check all of the wiring to make sure it is all in good shape and that the lead for the oil pressure is in good shape and screwed in all the way or plugged in correctly.
if it is riding fine and sounds good when you are riding it i would highly doubt your oil pressure is low.

Re: (EkEli)
might be the first, but not the only
I've never had that problem. Stupid question, but what kind of oil did you change it with? Anything different/special?
Odd it would come on in a straight line? I could it being a possible big problem is it was during cornering.
