Ok i just bought this bike and it is my first. I was wondering if any one would like to trade their plastics and tank. I am not really into the yellow with the purple. Or does any one know about how much a basic paint job costs for a bike.

A paint job for a bike is always inexpensive unless you have some crazy custom paint schemes in mind....
Just do your own body work if you can, and it will save you some money..
BTW- Those colors aren't even bad

They will, but you'll need to get a seat from either 95/96 or 97/98, depending on the year of the plastics.

the colors themselve's arent really too bad looking. i just think that they look extremely dated on that bike. too "radical" and not as modest as more updated paintjobs.
fyi- there are a lot of how-to's on painting a bike yourself..if you feel like renting some supplies and spending some cash on paint
