2003 Odyssey no start, no signal to starter
Hi I am working on a 2003 Odyssey with a no crank no start condition. It has a new good battery, but no signal to the starter when the key is turned. Is there an external relay for the starter? I am starting to lean towards the ignition switch itself but would like advise on how I should proceed with testing. Thanks.
P.S. I was told it wouldn't start a couple times prior and they left the van overnight and it started right up. They say this happened twice within the past week. Also I noticed I wasn't able to shift out of park even with the ignition switched to on, not sure if there is a brake release possibly. I didn't think much of it at the time.

You will need the electric diagrams so seek a factory service manual or a reliable 3d party manual. And yes, of course there is an external relay! The ignition lock never drives the starter directly in modern cars.
