Yeah...pulled that figure out of thin air too...haha.
John has done some misc fab work for me over the years...and I had a fairly long conversation with him about the first k-sight over a year ago. The most difficult part of the swap is in the wiring...which he doesn't do...and takes many many hours to complete.
Keep in mind that he also fabricates a header/exhaust, has custom axles made, custom coilovers from tein, custom subframe, custom engine mounts, custom ecu/wiring setup, s2000 gauge cluster, working ac, working cruise control, working electric power steering etc etc.
I think the most impressive part about this swap is how close to stock the car feels when its completed. It drives like a stock honda, doesn't rattle like a stock honda or act at all like its been swapped or screwed with.

Thanks for sharing druidesque.
Super clean work by the way, I love this type of thread (cool project, clean work, lots of pics) and can only admire the knowledge and clean work these guys are capable of doing.

I think insights are worth more stock last year i think i seen one for 10K i found one the other day it was a trade in a red 2000 sight for 2,400 had 160K on it clean no dents no rust.. not sure if the shell is aluminum or not... I was going to buy it and it was kind of sold i guess to a whole salesman or what ever.. I would swap in a single cam... They will be cheaper then that soon since most of those owners are buying the new hybrid.. I think old 88-91 civic/and the type X are better for this swap or any swap..

Batteries and associated parts probably weigh less than 70lbs and the K20 is probably 135- 150 lbs more.
