Re: so whats the difference between the std and the sport (coot_er)
Mechanically I think that they are the same, except for the width of the wheels (wider on the Sport obviously), ground clearance (base model has a bit more due to not having the ground effects), and as you mentioned, weight. As for quarter mile times, 15s just aren't a reality for the Fit (stock I assume?). I would imagine somewhere in the mid 16s, maybe even 17s. Remember, this is a practical economy car, not a Type R

coot_er, have you seen this?
Sport adds:
• Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters (5AT only)
• Body-colored underbody kit
• Body-colored rear roofline spoiler
• Fog lights
• 15-inch alloy wheels
• Security system with remote entry
• 200-watt AM/FM/CD audio system with MP3/WMA playback capability, auxiliary input jack, 5-mode equalizer and six speakers
• Cruise control
Also, you can find some acceleration times.

coot_er, my original post actually included a link with more information, including the answers to both these questions. I don't understand why a moderator removed it. I was only trying to be helpful. Perhaps it was a mistake.
Anyway, according to 2007 Honda Fit Specifications, it appears that the suspension is the same and that all models have Drive-by-Wire.
