Default y doesnt my b16a1 pr3 crx have any power?

i have a b16a1 motor pr3 ecu and a vafc intake and header and straight exhause all the wiring and mounting i bought from hasport. and was not to hard of a job to do. ever since i put the motor in the car jsut dosent pull. i can hear the vtec kick in but the car wolnt go over like 7000 rpm and at that rpm. i dont know if its not getting enoughfuel or not but the car gets like 35 miles to ther gallon and is running great. i dont know why im loseing to like 84 accords with carborators?
can any body help me cuz its liek everything is ok but the power and thats alll i care about . its still got a dx fuel pump but i think that the dx should push the fgare psi's?

Hit "spell check" on your next post, and its a little hard to tell what you are asking with the double negative in the title.

What type of tranny are you using? Is your ecu auto or manual? Also is your motor from an auto or manual car?

ok you are still in a mode that isn't really the right mode. A sensor is outta place.....I had the same problem....I got used to only being able to get up to 7k and then no more. Ok what you need to do is check for codes. For me it was the TPS sensor a Code 6. I took care of the code.....Vtec REALLY did kick in(i thought it had been crossing over but it wasn't<---silly me) So i fixed the code.....the crossover was Noticeable...almsot 3 lanes away with no reso and the promised 8200rpm cap was fullfilled. It's pretty cool seeing the needle dip below the 8k mark. Anyway....go and fix codes....make sure wiring is done right....b/c i know what you're talking about...and that's the only thing that would make this happen....Bad sensor....Bad wiring..

check the timing if your not not throwing any codes. i had the same problem when i did my sway. i did not check the timing because i thought the engine was pulled from a working car and it should have been on. i was wrong the dizzy had been swaped out and was Way off.

Could also be possible you have automatic cams? That along with a sensor outta wack or an unhealthy motor = teh sl0w. Check all sensors, then compression test. - Darrell

how do i check for codes in a obd0 pr3? i also had to replace the tps snsor because it was smashed. do you know the codes by the blinks of the led on the ecu or can i use some kind of scan tool? i hacent checked the timeing either though. the trans is a s1 or a j1, it has a sk7 intermediat shaft so i dont think it was an automatic. i got the motor from jspecauto.com and is jstu a salvaged motor i dont know anything about also i havent checked cylinder compression.
how would i test for a bad sensor? i got the tps sensor from ebay please help

TPS will be a flashinf code 7. You check for CEL's by the flashing LED on the ECU. Just turn the key to the on position and watch it blink.
