Re: working on my $150 civic
so I bolted it all back together and topped off the fluids but it just turns over and wont start
I suspect the ignition timing
also there is water pouring out of the intake manifold?
wtf????

My first car was a DP!!!
Anyway, in regards of the water issue. If you're filling the engine up with water and then the intake manifold is also filling up with it, this usually means that the intake manifold gasket was probably torn during the installation.
Take a picture of the engine at TDC.

Re: working on my $150 civic
yeah I just finished taking the intake manny back off and saw a small piece of gasket stuck to the head that I somehow missed before, right where the coolant flows
I scrapped it off, bolted it back together and no more leak
still doesnt want to start, almost does then doesnt, Prob put the dizzy back on 180 degrees off
Ill check that in the morning im too tired now it has been a long day
(not because of the car, I love working on it and only got to for like 3 hours today )
