Default Whats the biggest M/C that will fit on CRX booster

I need to know if there is a 15/16 M/C that will fit on the stock HF booster. A 90-93 M/C and booster wont work for my application.

90/91 Civic Sedan EX MC will be your best bet.

Actually the ex master cylinder will not work with the hf booster it does not fit properly, I had this problem. You need to upgrade to a bigger booster other than the hf

Going to a bigger brake master cylinder will lower the pressure you apply to the calipers. You will move more brake fluid when you step on the brake pedal, but the pressure (force you apply to the calipers) will drop. Simple physics I did not come up with that.
it is a missconception that a bigger M/C = Better braking.
Any proffesional race car builder will tell you that.

apparently a losing bet.

That sucks. So the HF is a really oddball one then.
That means the DX,LX won't bolt up on it either.

Suxors.

Really? I didn't notice a problem when I bolted a 90-91 EX master cylinder to my HF booster. Fit jus like stock, no bendo on the lines, perfect fit for me. I used a new OEM Honda unit.
Just what didn't work?

There is good chance that your car had a DX/LX/SI/EX Booster on it. On Rost CRX it would not work at all. He has the stock HF Booster and the part number is different from the others. This was the third car that "Team Mattamotors"(lol) has done this too and it just didnt turn out like the two SI we have already done.

What do you think everbody? I guess there is no reason to do this Do U think the stock system will be able to handle larger rotors and calipers?

If you are upgrading to larger rotors and claipers then you should change out the MC.

The larger calipers hold more fluid than your HF ones. Depending on how large you are going, the demand for more fluid may require a lager MC to puch more fluid out there.

Here's the advaise I offer you - If you are getting the larger caliper and rotors from another Honda or Acura then ideally you want to mimick it's fluid handling setup. Say you are just doing the front brakes and you plan to use Integra or Civic Sedan EX knuckles/brakes and you retain the rear drums. That's the same setup that the Sedan EX has - 10.3" up front and drums in the back - 15/16" MC. Also use the propotioning valve from this car or another car that has the same. Integra has the 10.3" up front and rear disc. It also uses a 15/16" MC, but I believe it's prop vavle is different.

I upgraded to the EX master cyl because mine finally gave out and I had already upgraded to the EX front setup and it seemed like the right thing to do. As stated earlier, no prob with install at all. FWIW, the EX setup rocks! Stock brembo blanks, no holes or slots and Raybestos "no squeek" ceramic enhanced pads and Porterfield rear SHOES! Got all the brakes I need. I do not track my car
