Re: Wagon RT!!! any thoughts??
we've got a few rolling around our gang of people.
utility wise and looks wise, they are hard to beat.
AWD-wise, it can get sketchy.
the drivetrain wants a jackshaft, and there aren't alot of jackshaft D-blocks. IIRC some A6s, some Z6s, and ZCs, that's about it. you might get away with a long driver's axle (lose the jack shaft), but i dunno if anyone has ever tried it.
might be fun to cram a 1st gen CRV AWD drivetrain under there, tho.
if you find a FWD version and want to keep it that way, i'd imagine the H swap would fit under the hood better than it does on the other 4th gens. hell, go for broke and J-swap it.

Ehh personally I wouldn't mess with it, if you plan to modify the drive train. Lets say if you do some crazy launch, and break the transfer case. Where are you going to find a replacement? I tend to stay away from the current bandwagoners, and stick to the tried and true stuff. Although each to their own!
