Default Strut to use for lowered suspension?

I did some research but have not found an answer yet. I have eibach sportline lowering springs (~2.25" drop) but have KYB GR2 struts which are made for stock length springs. The problem I am having is that when installed I didn't even have to compress the spring in order to assemble the suspension b/c the lowering springs were so much shorter. Now when going over a sharp bump you can feel the strut bottoming out. I wanted to know if the KYB AGX were made specifically for lowering springs, that is the strut rod is shorter. Or, what strut should be used with lowering springs?

i have agx's even in the instructions state that a drop lower then 2" will void the warranty. did you cut the bumpstops on your gr2's?

i know for da's you can use eg/dc front forks and either eg/dc shocks (they are shorter, allows more travel) this may be the case for ef's as well.

I did not cut the bump stops. I was trying to avoid buying hardware other than new struts. I looked up the drop rate and it is 1.7" in the front and 1.5" in the rear. How do you even cut the bump stops?

Alright, so I figured out that the Skunk2 struts and Koni yellows have a shorter shaft that will allow the top perch to be lower and thereby allowing my suspension to be preloaded. I couldn't figure out if tokico illuminas also have a shorter shaft like the other sport struts. If any knows let me know or if any uses Skunk2 struts let me know how they are. I appreciate the help.
