how many people are running crx/hb si seats? just wanted to know cause i have a hf with ugly stock seats.. and some guy is selling si seats for $75..should i buy them or save my money for other things?at first i wanted grs leathers but those are big bucks..need something cheap

i have the Si seats out of a hb and i love em. I originally had the stock DX seats but they were really worn. I found that the Si seats were a lot more comfterable then my old seats too and they hold u a lot better.

 

will crx si seats fit in hatchbacks? someone told me it wont fit.

i have heard they won't fit and i tried it once...no dice. this was an 88 crx si seat into the 89 civic si. its been a while so i forgot exactly where they were different.

 

I my HB is a 91' dx model and I put Si seats in what I did was made adapter brackets cause the DX seat rails in HB's are wider then Si's. Some people just drill into the floor boards and use self tapping bolts or a nut and bolt combo. I don't recommend it cause if you goto sell the car or something and want to take the seats out and put your old one's in you have holes in there now and also I don't think it's a sterdy as the factory location. Here's the site They put Del Sol seats into a DX HB just use their method and change a few things while you doing it thats what I did but it tooks 4 hours for both seats to install them cause it took awhile to make and modify the brakets and adapter brakets. I was selling the adapter brackets for putting Si seats into a Dx model HB that were the same type I'm using now and made last year but nobody replied and no one seemed interested so I stopped. but here's the site. http://www.thedropshop.com goto the tech section.

 

i have hatchback si seats in my 90 standard hatch, they bolted right it. i assume they are the same as the dx......i believe si seats were made by recaro back in the day, they totally rock. they are probably my favorite seats in any honda.....except maybe the s2000, but thats almost too cool to be a honda anyways

oh ok thanks. man..crx si seats looks nice too..for some reason crx seats seems to be more stiff than the hatchbacks.
