power mirror/ harness help
ok i've been wondering if the stock dx harness is set-up for power mirrors? the reason i ask is because the dx hatch doesnt come with the dash clock but it has the harness for it. so if anyone can tell me if the power mirrors from the 88-91 4dr will fit in a ef? is the harness in the doors? do i need to get a motor for the power( mirror motor) what all is needed???? and i did search

well i dont know about hatches or the mirror part but if the harness does suport it then u will have a unused 3 pin connector in the door(s) and like a 10 connector tucked up in the first spot for a switch left of the stereo.
in theory, all u need, if the harness IS there is the power mirrors and the switch.

I've installed power mirrors in my 90 si hatch. No your car is not wired for the mirrors but you con get the harness from a foour door EX that has the mirrors. You will need the green plug that goes to the switch. As for the the mirrors you will have to make them, heres how, you will need both mirrors from a 90 EX, then you will have to take the mirrors apart and put all the parts from the powre mirros into your dx mirrors. You will have to use your mirrors because the four door mirrors dont fit right. Its not as hard as it sounds
. Let me know how it comes out . Oh yea now you can put a tweeter in the hole that the adjuster used to be in

thanks for the info(grand civic) but i think my mirrors were off of a lx and the mirrors fit the car(they sit flush) i just have to drill mounting holes(they wont be seen) i got the plug that was inside the door and i got the plug with the switch, so i think i just got to run the wires? am i right? where would i get the power, and groung from? is it hard to run the wires?
