power mirror/ harness help

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ok i've been wondering if the stock dx harness is set-up for power mirrors? the reason i ask is because the dx hatch doesnt come with the dash clock but it has the harness for it. so if anyone can tell me if the power mirrors from the 88-91 4dr will fit in a ef? is the harness in the doors? do i need to get a motor for the power( mirror motor) what all is needed???? and i did search

</TD></TR></TABLE> Most likly the wires are not in the door, they will probably only run as far as the car side doorjam plug, you will need to replace the doorside plug and harness, and the power mirrors. 94

well what i plan on doin is getting power mirrors from a civic the same gen as mine and they will have the harness with them(the harness would plug into the door) and i have the control switch that came with the mirrors (it fits by my steering wheel) and i have the harness clip that plugs into the switch. so when you said that the harness would be by my door is that the part where the mirror would plug in??? or do i have to run wires???

Ohh a topic I know about
I did this on my REX...I had to modify the mirror area to fit the LX
sedan set but it worked and looked stock. Since you
have the an civic I hope to start it should be real easy. The parts you need
are both mirrors ( you can just remove them at the plug ) the switch ( You
can cut this harness down about 6-8" ) some wire ( for ease of use 4
connector home theater wire works best/ or make your own harness) and
a fuse holder. What I will do after work tommorrow is pull my door and do
a write up and try to take pics and post pics.

Its a real cool mod
