My new bottom end ... Do i need to break in?
b18a block
Scat H beam Rods
Arp Rod bolts
Mahle 9:1 compression pistons (w/ Heat and friction protection)
b16 water pump
b16 oil pump
New Gsr Timing Belt
Acl Race Rod Bearings
Unorthadox Racing Crankshaft Pully
This will be mated to a b16 j1 tranny, b16 vtec head using arp headstuds...but my question is...after i put this together on monday or tuesday and have it in the car ....do i need to brake it in?? Because im putting it together and breaking it in all motor...then next week i will but the turbo back on...only differnce is a bigger turbo and bigger FMIC then my last setup...so let me know what you guys think

Yes you will need to break it in to seat the rings. You are having the bores honed before installing new pistons right?

Yeah you should have the block honed....so therefore you need to break the engine in to properly seat the piston rings.
