Re: My 90 EF Shell build thread
I'm still working on it. Got most body parts in, just need to wire it. Interior is scrapped atm.
Almost done with a paint job. 3-4 days more for it. Bolted the hood in.

Re: My 90 EF Shell build thread
I'm getting the car up and running first, so that I can see what it needs. The only changes i've made to it so far is a paintjob, which is currently in progress. Once that's done I'm moving on to wiring and putting the last few things in (windshield wiper fluid, break fluid, etc), changing the oils and i should be good to go.

Re: My 90 EF Shell build thread
Been doing a decent amount of work in my spare time. Had to use a sawzall to cut the exhaust system which was warped, and was blocking the exhaust manifold from being installed.
Still havent bolted the left side of the hood, I'll get to it eventually :\.
Tried to get the radiator in, and one of the lower hoses got a bit damaged, it wont go into place right because of the engine support.
Got a decent amount of wiring done on the interior, One tail light is wired up and ready to go, the other needs the wires for it, then I'll put one of the side interior panel and the back interior panel into place.
I still cant figure out how the damn battery is fabricated. I know it's a rear fabrication, but WHERE DO I HOOK THE **** UP TO.
Going to put the headlights in soon, and I might go pickup a front bumper today that isn't completely ****ed.
Also, picked up this yesterday for $40:
Gonna clean/possibly paint it, and then use it.
I got the driver-side fender, it's black though. Going to be painting the car black with orange once its done.
Engine is a d16a6, i'm not sure if I said that previously.
Anyway, that's all for now. Start talking in the thread again and I'll ask more educated questions. It's my first car, so some-things i say are dumb.

Re: My 90 EF Shell build thread
I don't intend on doing a lot of body work. I'd like to keep the overall car looking stock (same bumpers, fenders, doors, etc. I don't want doors that flip up or any of that ****, albeit I did manage to get one of the seats in after some fabrication).
Does anyone know where I can buy a front bumper and front bumper cover that isn't aftermarket?
EDIT:
Just got parts for the car on hook. Air intake sleeve, aftermarket front bumper, tail light harness, and a radiator if i want.
All for $150.

Re: My 90 EF Shell build thread
got the front bumper/cover on. Mailed the license plate that came with the bumper back to the dude, he's sending me another bumper light in exchange. Got me cracking up.
And for anyone wondering ,the pipe under the car IS the exhaust system.

Picking up a throttle body and a throttle cable, putting in the headlights, and going from there.
This is turning out kind of respectable.

Re: My 90 EF Shell build thread
I've heard the engine compartment can get a little hot. So I put the Cold Air Intake outside the car!
Yes, it's a joke.
On a side note, front bumper cover needs to be fully mounted (I need to take some washers out and put them on the 4mm bolts that hold it in place.), then i'll put the little top piece and the headlights in.
Any thoughts, anyone?

I swapped the tail lights actually. Traded them for the stock ones except with a black vinyl tint. The middle one is still bright though, gonna tint it so it matches.

Re: My 90 EF Shell build thread
Wired up everything to the steering wheel/gauges and the middle console (which was really the temperature **** and the lighter, no radio right now, albeit im thinking of putting a USB port that can play straight to the speakers in).
Once it warms up I'll get the stuff in the bay done, it shouldnt take more then a day or two if i have all the pieces. Then i'll probably need 2-3 days to get the engine wiring done.
Then we get into the rela fun.

Re: My 90 EF Shell build thread
Got the radiator and antifreeze hooked up and in, as well as getting the cold air intake in (i'm gonna do a unique pipe for it soon since this is a little iffy)
