Default Misaligned shifter on my new 5 speed swap

So I did a 5 speed swap for my ED3 and it seems like the shifter pin that comes out of the trany is kinked slightly over to one side witch makes the shifter lean over to the right away from the center. What would be the best way to center it again? I was thinking of torquin' it over a little bit with a bar through the pin hole but I don't know if that would damage anything. Anyone else ever have this problem?

p.s. I'm new btw I tried searching for it but I haven't figured out how the search engine works yet.
