Default max recomended boost on a t25 simi built zc

I have a ZC engine with crower rods and JE 9:1 pistons. I am using a garrett T-25 with an intercooler. Given that i can get enough fuel to the engine how many lb of boost would anyone recomend me to run? I am very worried about going too high without getting my block sleeved. Please help me, i really don't want to learn the hard way and blow my motor after all i have invested into it. I am thinking no more than 10psi but if anyone has any personal experience with this type of setup please let me know.

I know that with the right fuel management you should easily be able to handle 8-10 lbs on a daily basis safely.

10 psi is running the T25 at about max efficiency, so don't go any further than that. I'd just worry a little about the rods. At 10 with a good tune you'd be making 200+ to the wheels which is enough to toast the stock rods if you're not lucky.

thats funny since that turbo's max efficiency is 16psi

get that thing tuned, what injectors are you using, i would say youd be safe to go up to 12 if you got some 450 cc injectors, a fuel rail, fuel pump, a afc and some dyno time, without the things listed above i wouldnt do more than 8psi

yeah, i have the 450's off the dsm. I don't have a fuel pump yet but i was going to get mine if i don't have at least the recomended pressure in the fuel rail with out making the injectors work over 80% duty cycle. I have heard people running up to 20psi of boost on the gsr blocks, are they that much better built?

you can run as much as your turbo can make as long as you dont detonate or break ****. this amount varies from application to application. with proper fuel, ignition and cooling you can run whatever you want really. only limitation is snapping a rod or blowing a head gasket.

throw it on a dyno and make sure you data log everything and watch for problems.

t25 max boost is 16lbs

gsr is a stronger block thats why you can run 20 but ive never seen a gsr block run 20 that wasnt sleeved., and if there are any of them out there they wont be running 20 for long.

as long as you have sufficient fuel, and tuning, and your rods dont go out on you, and your compression is low enough 12 lbs would be easy, you could possibly turn it up to 16 i wouldnt do it without tuning it and talking to your tuner about it.

I always heard that on a DSM spec T25, to ensure engine health and turbo longevity it was good to cap boost at 10psi on a daily basis. I've heard on that turbo that above 10psi you are fighting hard against rapidly rising IAT's so that it doesn't make sense to run it above that on a prolonged basis. But I could be wrong.

i think all the eclipse's were from 12-14 lbs stock

16 should be fine for the turbo....

i thought dseries/zc motors had really shitty sleaves and that was the second weak point after rods?

i'd say 10-12 psi tuned, but wait to do more till it's sleaved
