sweet, everyone seems to like this stuff, I'm gonna try it as well. I hate that grinding noise when going into reverse.....

do u just go to a chevy dealership or something to get it?

I will never use honda MTF again. I have converted to synchomesh until something better is available.

I don't know why everyone is buying Friction Modified when the original thread had testimonies about how well the Synchromesh worked, not the FM.

I put in the GM syncromesh and my tranny felt smooth as can be on my last track day. I do have to say though, my tranny is in great shape and I was using MTF and I don't really notice how much greater this stuff really is.

Just got done with my tranny and put my syncromesh FM in. Havn't driven it yet but It's there and better work a little bit of magic for 12.00 qt.

$12 a quart?

GM Syncromesh is actually made by Penzoil you can buy the Penzoil Syncromesh for under $10 as I did. It even says on the bottle that it is used by GM. I really dont know why people go to GM while you can go to Autozone and get it with the Penzoil bottle for less.

But does Pennzoil/Quaker State sell it with the friction modifier already mixed in?

GM sells both the regular Synchromesh and the Synchromesh Friction Modified. S-FM cost me $8.50 a quart at the Chevrolet parts department.
