Default inner tie rod removal...

I have seriously looked for this already, and thought I had it but now am lost. The tool I got from kragen is for a hex type bolt, but the honda tie rod is rounded. How am I supposed to take it off now? And I cant seem to take the outter tie rod off. How am I supposed to take it out?? Im twisting to the left but it just moves the inner tie rod too. Any help? PLease.

OUter tie rod is stuck. I was under the impression it would come off easily. So im thinking IM not gonna need that inner tie rod tool for my hatch right? It looks like I would just thighten it with what seems like a 12 or 14.

Quick update. Got the outer tie rod off with some vise grips on the inner tie rod. Got the boot off and still dont see how the inner tie rod tool is used, if at all. The tie rod spins freely but wont come off. There is a spacer right behind it that looks bent on two sides. Does that twist of?? Any help???

if your replacing both inner and outter tie rods just cut the ****er off LOL.then to the inner tie rod removal take the clamps of the dust boots and there should be a lock washer on the inner tie rod go head and take a flat head and pry it back so u can unbolt it

good luck trying to get the lock washer off while the rack is not drop. just use crescent wrenches and brake the lock washers off. that easy, then run to your local dealer and get new lock washers.

It is much easier with the rack removed. The rack can be removed in about an hour, thats how I did mine. I would suggest you at least replace both inner tie rod ends and the rack end bushing if you are going to remove the rack.

you won't think it's funny when it just pops off with the pipe wrench.

just find one small enough to squeeze in to the small area where you pointed at. tighten it down till it's on the lock washer. then twist off. it'll shear off the old lock washer which is holding the inner tie rod in place. you can use a adjustable wrench too, if you can't find a small enough pipe wrench
