Check your throttle plate for something keeping it open. Then if theres nothing plug the holes in the tb that are b4 the plate. the top hole is for IACV the bottom is for the FITV.

Try removing the Thermo Vacum valve that is on the intake manifold or on the bottom of the Throttlebody.A plastic threaded plug that has a copper valve and thermo spring to adjust cold idle till warmup. Its the one that has a water line coming in and out.Remove the cover being held by two phillips screws. Then you will see this white plug backed out.Im suprised no one has ever thought of this instead of replaceing the whole TB.

actually thats the IACV (Intake Air Control Valve)....that plastic piece gets sprung and causes a bad idle from tiem to time....screw it back in...clean it up really nice before re-installing and that should fix your problem. BTW..double check the hoses...while they may be in the right places...if they are cracked, torn or broken in any way...they will still leak...hth

If i remember correctly, there is a plug on the rear of the intake manifold, and a plug similar to it somewhere on back of the block...i need ot look to be sure, but regardless...make sure these plaugs havent been switched. They are the same plug size and shape, and whn they get crossed it can cause an akward idol. Thats what happened when we did the last swap in my car. After we switched them back...it purred like a kitten
