the kid i bought my crx from paid $4300 for everything, but that was also for a zydne ecu and itr cams.
maybe you should go ask your local shop how much they charge prices will flex from place to place.
better yet... buy a book and swap it yourself

well 2500-3000 i guess would be a good deal if you spent 2500 on the motor and mounts and another 500 to change it out which is about the pirce me and my buddy charge for swaps. depending on what all needs done, because if you have wiring issues and you need us to do it, it will take more time and a little more money.

I know people that do the swap for 2800-3500 depending on what you want.. but its kinda dumb to do it like that... i would do it myself if i were you... not only is it cheaper but you get hands on experience with your car and learn to do alot to it.... helps in the future if something ever breaks... then you already know how to fix it..... peace

Re: How much for shop swap?B16a1? (98civic4sale)
Of course its not applicable to you guys, because I'm talking about prices in Greece, but I know a couple of shops that will do a complete D16 swap for about 1K, a B16 swap for about 1,5K, and a B18 swap for 2K. If you want SpecR engines (B16B or B18C), then its about double that amount.....

I agree with this 100%. After trusting too many shops and dealers and getting shoddy work in exchage for very high prices, I will NEVER TRUST anyone but myself or my friends to work on my cars EVER again.
No-ones ever going to care about your car more than you are. So what motivation do they have, to do the job RIGHT? If I was gaurenteed expert work for the money, maybe I would trust a shop. But I've paid way too much for sub-par work, too many times and have seen others who have as well. Just my .02 cents.

The Shop is new in norwich called "The Tunner's".They do every kinda of import swap, and turbo install.Im not sure how much they charge but it will prolly be a lot,its about 30 mins away. Can yu recommend any other shops?I read up on how to do it on the net, seemed easier than i thought.Ill prolly try it myself,so i get the learning experience as well.Il prolly do it in the summer though because its too cold now too do it.
