help stripped oil pan nut
the nut that holds my oil pan to the block is stripped(not the drain plug) It wont tighten it just spins so its stuck on the stud and i cannot remove it. I was thinking of cutting with a dremel but what bit do i use as theres no room its the one by the transmission.

Re: help stripped oil pan nut (linx)
Can you grab it with pliers and pull while turning? I find that sometimes I can get nuts to grab threads this way.
Alternatively, you could remove the stud that the nut is on.

What you need to do is, do whatever it takes to get the bolt out, then pull out the drain plug, remove metal shavings that are in the oil pan threads and then screw in a NEW OEM oil drain plug. thats what I did on my Bro, inlaws car.
Good luck
