It happens...
They're both MPFI engines so wiring won't be much of an issue.
Do a search to find out the differences in sensors from Si to HF. search "HF wiring" and hit archived
Even more bastardized i had a DX with a DOHC ZC that had an HF transmission. great feeway MPG, but first gear went to like 45mph.. lol

I am so mad at my hf motor, i'd just about pay someone to take it.. B16 cant come fast enough... If the a6 bent a valve, that is easier to fix then a whole motor..

All these replies, and no one noticed the obvious...
A D15B2 is NOT an HF motor. It's a DX motor. 1.5 liters, DPFI, 92hp. It ain't *scary* fast, but it's a helluva lot better than the 62-horse HF!
Should drop right in and use your existing intake/exhaust/tranny/etc. With the MPFI setup, the DX engine should be good for closer to 98 or 100hp or thereabouts. It ain't an Si, but I don't think you'll hate it.
Mike
PS: Double-check the engine number stamp. If it's really an HF engine, it should be a D15B6. Those suck.

um, yea...
He says its from an hf, so its probably an hf engine. i think the mistake is his saying it was a b2 instead of a b6. either way, the hf is an 8 valve, and the dx and si are 16v. check the engine code.
and i can't really tell if that pic is of an hf, looks just like a dx with mpfi :shrugs:

If its just a work car, then i wouldnt even worry about the power as long as it runs good and its reliable.
