Re: FPR vs AFC?? (4gsicivichatch)
FPR=Fuel pressure Regulator. It adjust the fuel pressure in the fuel rail
AFC=Air Fuel Controller. It adjust the injector fuel settings. Adjusting the air/fuel mixtures.
If you need more fuel pressure you need a larger fuel pump or a adjustable FPR.
The AFC will only adjust how the fuel/air mixtures. There totally 2 different things.
The adj FPR will allow to to adjust the pressure the fuel rail to injectors is seeing but wouldn't adj your fuel/air mixtures AFC will adj your fuel/air mixtures but not raise fuel pressure.
FPR works with Vacumn it has a Diafram which will only allow a set amount of fuel to store in the fuel rail if anything over that set amount will return to the fuel tank.
the AFC is electronic usually works off the map sensor.
