Final pre mini me b2 questions
Ok finally i am getting closer to attempting to install the d16y8 head on my d15b2(mpfi'd) block. I have done lots of searching and have reached the following conclusion;
-this head on the d15b2 will give around 10.5/ 10.8:1 compression ratio with 1 metal y8 head gasket
- should be fine with stock fuel pressure for now and fuel pump (stock/stock)
- i need a d16y8 timing belt
-can use my obd-0 a6 distributor
- i NEED d16y8 head bolts as the a6 ones are too short
- take out the oil restrictor between cylinders #3 and #4
- can still use my a6 intake manifold+injectors+pm6 ecu until i want vtec which i can burn a chip for the pm6 and integrate with vtec fuel curves or convert to obd-1(planning on converting after) and run p28
I think thats it to achieve the goal of mechanically having the y8 head (benefits of better combustion chambers, more compression, newer head..better gas mileage)....but i know to have further fun such as enabling vtec and running smooth(obd-1 conversion) i will need to do a little bit of wiring.
If anyone has anything else to add as far as what i need just to have the y8 head only, in place of the d15b2 one and working fine..please tell me what you can.
THanks again

Re: Final pre mini me b2 questions (mattie_96)
I'm preping for a mini-me as well.. seems to me you got it right. I'm about to mini-me a Dual point but I won't have vtec till the MPFI stuff. I hope it will do dual point till I get the stuff together for mpfi
