D.I.Y: Integra seats in a CRX
I figured out how to get lumbar support, and super comfy seats in my 1988 CRX Si. The seats that came with the car were torn up, and the foam was dead because of friction. I had picked up a set of '97 Integra seats once upon a time, and decided to try them out. They ended up working perfectly. Pictures should come later today...
Tools needed:
Socket wrench + sockets (10,12,14,19)
Philips head screwdriver
Pliers
Hog ties (or zip ties)
*Optional: Drill*
1) Remove the front seats from the crx, remove the rails, separate the backrest from the seat pan (one screw on the lever side, remove the plastic cover (pull it without breaking it), two bolts on the lever side 14mm, and one on the other side 19mm)
2) Un-do the hog-ties on the backrest, roll the seat cover back half way, push the foam back until you can see the two bolts holding on the tilt control lever. Un-do them, keep the bolts and control lever.
4) Un-do all the hog-ties on the seat-pan. Remove the cushion and seat cover.
At this point, you should have the rails, seat-pan, and backrest bracket/tilt control/lever.
The CRX seat is done with for now, onto the Integra seat.
5) Disassembling the Integra seat is amost the same as the CRX seat... The only parts you need from it are the seat cushion and cover, and the backrest. When removing the backrest, there is two bolts you have to un-do on the lever side of the seat, in the same spot the CRX bolts were. The integra has a zipper on the backside that can be un-done for easy access to the bolts. After the backrest is unbolted, and the seat cushion is removed with the seat cover...
6) Attach the seat cushion/cover to the CRX seat pan. Use hog-ties, or get creative with zip-ties. Make sure the cushion faces the proper direction.
7) Attach the CRX lever tilt control bracket to the Integra backrest, same two bolts, same location.
*OPTIONAL* I noticed the seat tilts too far back before it clicks. An option to fix this is to remove the seat foam from the backrest, drill another hole for the backrest to bolt to, making the backrest at a steeper angle. You will see what I mean.
8) Bolt up the backrest to the seat-pan. On the non-lever side, make sure to use a washer, or the plastic bushings from the CRX seat, so that the bolt does not loosen. The backrest does bolt up, with a little bit of force. Attach the rails, bolt into the car...
9) Done. Enjoy your lumbar support.
Pics will be up tonight hopefully. The seats are not as tall as the CRX ones, but they look pretty good with the interior. Very comfy too.
Time per seat = An hour or so, I get distracted.
Total Cost = Had the seats sitting around, so it only cost me some zip-ties.

Sweet. Although personally, I think few seats look better in a CRX/EF interior than the OEM Honda/Recaro's--CRX seats are a pain the the *** to get a hold of.
This is a good thing IMHO. Especially in an Si (sunroof), if you want to race the car and you wear a Helmet.

I just bought a crx parts car that had the gsr seat backs mounted to the crx pans, and reversed it. its pretty cool how the parts line up.

Re: D.I.Y: Integra seats in a CRX
I am currently in the process of doing this myself, turning out great thus far. Here's a few pictures of the mock up of my drivers seat. Just need to drill some new holes for the back rest, and i'm done.
Tan seats, black interior, green floormat. It's all good lol.

the only problem with the integra seats is the backrest... it needs new holes for mounting, or else you cruise like a gangsta... backs go too far back...
when i re-cover my seats, i will post some pics of what I did.

Canadian_EF started this thread and then baltour shared his integra seat swapping project with us, two different people. On another note, i hate how 90-91 EF's have so many more options when it comes to seat conversions . . . so frustrating!!
