how do i remove the back seats in my civic hatch 1992 dx? and how much do they weigh anyway?

fold the top down, remove the 4 10mm bolts on the brackes, then you should see the bottom 10mm bolt (for the bottom seat) remove this, then tilt seat up.

fold the seat down .on the outside of both sides where the fold ther are black clips with little tabs to grab them.pull em off with pliers and slide each side towards window and they will pop out and the bottom is held in with 10 mm screw.sorry bad at givin directions but you should be able to fihure that out

You seen Monster Garage right? Just yank them suckers out, works for them.
But the back seats weigh in at about 28-30 lbs.
The bottom bench part is like 8-9 lbs. and each fold down cushion part is like 10 lbs. Take out the seatbelts too while your at it and save a couple more pounds.

Finding these clips is the key. Once you pull them off, everything else is obvious.

I posted the EXACT weight a while back.

I THINK the lower cushion is 9-10 lbs, and the upper backs are 28-30 for both + the hatch carpet.

have to disagree on the weight there, i think the bottome long one weighs like 3 pounds and the back pieces weigh like 10-12 if that put together. could be wrong I just remember taking the backseats out of my old hatch and then wondering why teh **** i did it cause they dont really weigh ****.

I just pulled the reat seats out of my ek hatch...I know the weights will be different, but i think the whole thing weighed around 40 pounds.
