Default ? for crx owners w/ coilover sleeves..

ok, i recently bought a 89' crx and it has stock struts/shocks w/ cheapo ebay coilover sleeves on them....
well as it sits its about a 1-2 wheel gap, well i gota ride dumped so i went to lower them more and noticed the fronts were already all the way down..wtf? and the rear has about an inch left on the threads...
question is, if its all the way down already why is there still a 2inch wheel gap?
think there diff struts? like maybe off eg or dc or da or something?

or maybe they are just crappy ebay sleeves that are universal and dont go low enough to drop the stock ride height of a rex to get the look your going for

Getting real suspension will most likely solve your problem. I've never heard good things about those coilovers.

thats because of the cup on the rear shocks...you can cut that thing off so the sleeve drops down..

maybe he's got the wrong shocks? maybe from a integra and are longer? or maybe the bumpstop was never cut in half? ask the previous owner what he did

thats pretty funny..installing suspension wrong on purpose just so the car looks low....**** why not just throw away the sleeve? and just use the srping it self..

So what is the deal with the red car? The car you posted isn't even the same one?

On the grey car, just cut out the cup, that should fix your lowlow right up!

ttt,anybody else have this prob?
should i jus buy new struts/shocks..? and do people still have the same prob with aftermarket ones?
this car is jus my dd so i dont want to put alot of money in it..i jus want it stock besides being slammed...
what do you guys suggest?
get crx struts/shocks and like omni sleeves?(ive used omni sleeves on a couple cars and theyre a decent ride and get low)
or should i buy aftermarket and omni sleeves..?
either way let me know what you guys think...

I see that it's installed incorrectly on the red car. Isn't it dangerous to have it like that?

just take the sleve OFF, and ride just on the spring. or get 86-89 accord front struts, they are 1" lower (which i read on HT, cant verify) and bolt right in. thats just for the front. on the back its the same idea tho, except you must use your old struts.

check out a thread i recently started and replied to... lol

you need to figure out if its the spring that is not allowing your car to go lower in the back, or if its the strut that wont allow you to go lower. when you know the problem, you will know the answer.
