So it does get hot - might be the temp switch on the back of the motor by the oil filter (big black plug with 2 wires). Unplug the connector from the temp switch and short the wires in the connector together. Turn the car on and the fan should turn on. If it does, then replace the temp switch.
If not, then unplug the fan and hook it directly to the battery and see if it works. If it doesn't then replace the fan motor.
If the fan does work, then it's wiring or the relay.
