I didn't have to adjust it *too* much but the setting it was on from my A6 block didn't even reach the pressure plate.

Any idea how much space is needed on either side of the clutch disc to disengage? Right now looking through the starter hole it looks like there's about 3/4mm on either side (with the clutch pushed in).

Dude, just run the y7 pressure plate, clutch and flywheel. You'll be fine.

Well, I adjusted the clutch cable so there's 3-4mm play at the end, I can get a full pedal press without maxing out the release arm travel so I think it might work.
