I have an 8.8lbs Prolite Flywheel with a SPEC Stage4 disc and Exedy Plate

Everything is brand new less than 100 miles on it so far

Ive never really driven on a lightflywheel and was wondering if this is normal


When I engage the clutch inbetween shifts instead of the RPM dropping the revs will go up a few hundred RPM or stay at whatever rpm i engaged the clutch at for a few seconds

is this normal light flyhwheel behavior?

anybody else ever experience this and can tell me what the problem is possibly?

hm, you might have a sticky throttle

thats what i thought too but ive cleaned it and it snaps open and close

when it does it rev thing ive tried and pulled up on the accelerator with my foot

doesnt change anything

So when you push you clutch in, the motor either revs slightly or stays where its at?

How high of an RPM are you shifting at?

Usually with a lighter flywheel your RPMs would drop at a more rapid manner, due to the fact that there is less momentum keeping the motor turning.

thats what i always thought

happens when driving normal doing my 3-4k shifts

happens at 2-3k too but not as noticable but i know its doing it

if i completely let off the gas like move the foot away, wait for the motor to decelerate then push in clutch it will drop like it should

but thats not how normal driving should be

I thought it was the other way around. If you have a lighter flywheel it's supposed to keep the rpms from dropping as much because there is less weight slowing down the crank not keeping it moving. This allows better acceleration.

how long does it stay a the same rpm when you disengage the clutch? if your shifting quick you should not expect a drastic rpm change.
