Default exedy clutch problem

just installed a set of new exedy clutch & cover. shattered the old one (an exedy too). same problem, engagement very stuttery at low rpms, but ok at rpm higher than 2500. problem same in reverse too. feels like the new clutch doesn't grip properly. but hey, its new and the old clutch gas the same problem too. the clutch pedal doesn't feel as hard as my other teg R with same exedy clutch. he has no stuttering engagement problems too.
please help!

Did you resurface the flywheel, is it within specs?

you have a 3 puck ceramic clutch.

did you expect a smooth stock like engagment?? it's bassically a race clutch......that's the way it's supposed to be.

I had an 6 puck clutch and it does the same thing, it's very rough engagement. My friend has an 4puck it seemed engaging much smoother than the 6pucks...

still don't understand why same clutch has different effect on the same application?

Don't forget that the friction disc needs to be properly run-in. It will be smoother as the friction disc gets worn.

I have the same setup: Exedy 3-puck race clutch with the Exedy chromoly 4.1kg flywheel. The first 200 km, the clutch engagement was very grippy with chatter.

i had run about 2-3000 kms. shouldn't be the running-in issue here. my friend's exedy is installed at about the same time and i've covered more km than him.
could it be my clutch pump or something like that, or my mechanic messed up during the installation?
