car sputters for 15 seconds from a hot start
its a 90 civic si. from a cold start it starts up no problem, but after its warmed up and you try starting it when the engine is still hot, it sputters for about 15-20 seconds (also sounds like its only running on 2 cylinders or something) but after you rev it a little it runs completely fine. except for about a minute later when you're givin it gas it'll sputter a little but then its completely fine until you turn it back off again. if anyone has any suggestions as to what this could be, let me know what you think.

Main relay, almost 100%. Ive had this issue, exact as you describe it, only when the engine is warmed.
Go to the scrap yard and pull one out of a car and youll know in 2 min
Good luck

Re: car sputters for 15 seconds from a hot start
i've tried two other main relays, neither of which made a difference. so apparently its not the main relay.. smartass
at idle the rpm's race (go up and then drop real quick over and over) so im thinking its something to do with the air and fuel ratio not being right
i also tried cleaning the IAC valve too on the back of the throttle body, any help would be greatly appreciated.. as long as you dont tell me to fix the main relay or use the search button
