Default CAN ANYBODY RELATE??

I put on my new exedy clutch and resurfaced/lightend stock flywheel on my b16. WHen I started it up, it sounds like the starter is totally missing the flywheel, just spining and not catching the flywheel teeth. Ive tooken off the tranny several times making sure everythings cool, as well as try differend starters......... whats up??

I've heard of problems with the teeth on chromoly replacement flywheels, but never with the teeth on stock flywheels.

maybe ur starter is not extending and just spining. take it off and get it tested. or test it urself. put 12 volts to it and it should jump out and spin. if it spins but doesnt jump out ur starter is bad

I held the starter in my hand, out of the tranny and it extends. Ive also tried a friends starter as well and it still spins freely. My oem flywheel was lightend and ballanced to 9 lbs, i dont suppose that would affect this problem. thanks for the help
