Blinking engine light problem
OK here is the deal. I was driving home normally at around 90kmh and the engine light started blinking. The light blinks 7 times than stops for a bit than 7 times again and again. The car seems to run fine. The car is an 88 civic hatch, b20b bottom, b16 head, OBD-1. If you know what it is please help.
You probably have the wire from D4 on your ECU harness grounded out. That's typically how you check the Check Engine Lights on OBD-1 converted cars. If this is the case, and you have that wire grounded out, you are throwing a code 7 which is the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor).
You can try resetting the ECU and seeing if it comes back or not. If it does, check the wiring nearby for any problems (it's a 3-wire sensor on the firewall-side of the throttle body) On the ECU side of the harness, the wires are:
Pin - Color
D11 - Red/Blk
D20 - Yel/Blu
D22 - Grn/Blu
