full throttle bogg
-97 gsr in a 00 civic dx using SI computer.. the engine runs, vtec wrks properly.. no check engine light, but if i press throttle more than 3/4's the engine boggs BAD.
this trigures the check engine light and the computer reads code 1106 or barometric pressure sensor (located inside the ecu).. i thought a solution would be to change ecu's. i did. another SI computer and the car engine behaves in the same manner... any ideas as to why it would register the same code and behave the same with differant computers? anything would help at this point.

Re: full throttle bogg (JDMotive)
i would not think that since the wire harness was not cut at the TPS sensor... i am now leaning towards the IACV since the B18 is a 2 wire sensor and the civ's stocker was a 3 wire.. i have located the wiring info to check for proper install -anyone correct me if this is wrong:
in plug B: pin# 6 needs to be moved to pin# 23 (black-blue) and pin# 15 (orange) is to be removed..... and further more.. would a problem with the IACV cause the engine to BOGG under full throttle conditions

Re: full throttle bogg (00ekhatch)
sound loke your bogging cause by the TPS, you have the wrong connector hooked to the TPS. It quite common actually for people to confuse the IACV connector for the TPS and haver them backwards.... at least on EG's.

Re: full throttle bogg (fastwanabe)
no i checked the sensor plugs.. iacv plug is 2 wire plug, and the TPS sensor is a 3 wire, they wont fit on the wrong terminal... they are in the correct location..
ANYONE HAVE EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE IN EK9--> B SERIES SWAPS, AND HAS ANY OTHER IDEAS?

Re: full throttle bogg (00ekhatch)
i disconected the TPS sensor completly to test your theories, thanks for your knowledge because the engine now is performing at full throttle but has no VTEC because it throughs a cel... after work i will check the wiring to determin if it is a factor or if it is the tps sensor itself... how do i check to make sure the TPS is wrking properly? what should it read on a voltmeter?
