B16 CRX throwing code 22
ok I've done some research on here, but nothing seems like a definate answer, so I'm bringing this thread back from the dead...
B16A
PR3 ECU
OBD0
I'm throwing code 22 (vtec oil pressure switch), I've replaced the sonova bitch 2 times already, wiring looks good, oil is good, and also my rev limit has changed to about 75-7600, rather than 8200..
Ideas on how to bypass?

sorry, forgot to mention that ive cleaned the vtec solenoid also... yes vtec does engage sometimes, but 99% of the time, it will throw a CEL in 3rd gear after vtec engages

good, but how did the oil look, was it black or pretty good. when did u change the switch. does the oil light in the cluster come on. the only reason i asked about the pan is because if there s a dent in just the right spot. the oil pick can get to much oil or not enough. could be the oil pump, but high unlikely. hard to say are u having any other problems with any thing.
i would buy an oil pressure gauge just to be safe. it could be lower than normal.

Re: B16 CRX throwing code 22 (si90rex)
Upon further inspection of the wiring, the blue/black wire from the oil pressure switch right before it gets to the ECU, it was pinched, so cut/rewire, not throwing any code anymore and i got my rev limit back, and no CEL
thanks for the concerns
