B series Swap (Help)
Okay so I have a 1990 honda civic dx and i want to swap a b20b in it.
I want to run a ys1 transmission because of the cables. So there is a few things im confused about
1. Can I use a D series shift cables on YS1?
2. Can I use regular B Series motor mounts?
3. What axle do I run?
4. what is the best ECU to run?
And if you have done this swap please let me know any type of mods you recommend. I wanna make about 300 - 350 hp with semi built b20b.
Any one with the similar setup let me know trying to stay on a budget.

Please forgive me in advance I've been so use to D Series but I wanna boost something more reliable.

Re: B series Swap (Help)
1 no you need b series shift linkage shortened to fit or a swap linkage.
2. No you need swap nounts
3. Da or D.C. Axles, just make sure if you run dc axles you swap the axle seals out to match
4. A chipped and tuned obd1 ecu will be best. Any non vtec civic ecu or vtec will work if chipped. Commonly used easy to find ecus would be p06, pr4, p75, p28, p72 or p30. Preferably Usdm not the square jdm ecu unless it's already chipped as they have a surface mounted chip that's much harder to solder in

Re: B series Swap (Help)
Also make sure you get the right motor mounts. Since you are using a cable transmission get Hasport or innovative motor mounts that’s compatible with the cable transmission. Their are 2 different mounts, 1 for cable transmission and another for hydro transmission so read carefully.
