Default 91EX Civic sedan build

EDIT- 12/24/2011 Car is running

EDIT- 12/18/11 B18 has been dropped into the engine bay. Minor wiring and basic stuff left to finish swap.

EDIT- 11/28/11 Slowly going to be restoring this EX to its glory. Already sourced the oem EX hubcaps and rims. B18a1 rebuild is almost complete

EDIT- 10/18/11 Sedan is currently without a drivetrain. I am rebuilding the LS from my other Civic and it is going in this sedan.

I got this sedan last month for a daily driver. Stared cleaning the interior and fixing the rust.

FYI this car is far from going for power or speed, its all about the mpgs for daily commuting.

Just picked up a 91 sedan for a daily driver. original and maxed out with factory options crusie control, oem floor mats, metal speaker covers. $600

227k the a6 finally **** itself, cylinder three went out. Now the build starts. Picked this up in New Jersey for $300. Swap has roughly 97,000 miles on it.- August 23, 2011

My idea of keeping the flywheel form spinning. Had to take off the flywheel to get it resurfaced and crank pulley to switch over to the pulley that accommodates A/C, power steering, and Alternator

^^^
Sure does!
If you are all out for MPG then I hope you are planning to freshen up that block.
Hone with new rings and check the valves at the least.

haha well I was just driving the same sedan with only 3 cylinders firing and an auto transmission so the D15b6 shouldnt do too bad. the b6 made good low end torque to pull the car around. Im not worried about speed, thats why I have my other sedan.
I have worked out the weight scenario. The hf in 91 was 1967 pounds my sedan with the hf engine will be about 2300. Thats 300 pounds difference. I weigh 125 pounds the average civic driver is near 175-200. that takes me to a difference of 225 pounds which is only slightly more than the weight of a passenger. I drive by myself most of the time so no passenger weight. also eliminating stuff like spare tire will slightly decrease weight. all in all it will even out to the weight of an hf and one passenger.

Yep, all I have to do yet is buy a new clutch kit, then stop at the junkyard and grab a clutch cable, shift linkage, and pedals. Im gonna have to graft my throttle pedal onto the the 5 speed pedals to retain the pedal arm for cruise control

You must be new to Honda-Tech.
EDIT: come to think of it, the only community that I know of that had respect for 'doin something different' which served no performance gain was the rice boi community.
