Morning update, i took the car out last night to see if the problem would come back, it did. but it was different then before. When I drove the car it would run fine then miss for a second then smooth back out. made it back home and it started to stumble and die. then it smoothed back out. I'm very puzzled,

when it starts to miss it smokes like crazy, smells like gas really bad. I don't have all my tools with me, so i haven't done the noid light test, i have those at home. I don't leave for a few days so i am going to keep testing. If I haven't figured it out by Monday ilk just pull the injector clip and plug wire and drive it back home on 3 cylinders. i would much rather find the problem though.

Just throwing an idea out there, try replacing the coil and igniter in the distributor.

I think you're on to something with something ignition related getting hot and not working right. Our dizzys are very susceptible to heat, and like netfreak said, try a diff coil and ignitor. Don't just replace though, try a good working one first. Throwing money at a car is never the answer.

Also don't remember if you said it was obd-0 or Obd-1 but if you can I'd try a diff dizzy that you know works.

i just came out to the car and it fired right up, no miss. I'm letting it warm up and then i will take it out. so now for a newbie question. if i want to find a distributor for an obd0 b series, should i look at a DA integra?

Nah, they're non-vtec. You need a vtec distributor to work with your obd0 pr3 or pwo.

i went to the local parts store and got a ignition coil, distributor cap and rotor put those in, and the problem hasn't came back all day, I'm leaving back to Cali in a few hours we shall see if the problem comes back. i put a hundred miles on it and nothing so I'm crossing my fingers. I'll let you all know what the status is.

now im having a new issue.

I just stripped the car down and replaced a bunch of parts. put it all back together and my injector #4 is staying flooding the cylinder.

I pulled the engine, tranny, suspension, wiring, exhaust, brakes, and ecu. I installed all new gaskets on the engine, checked the clutch, new axles, new brakes, obd1 conversion, header, intake mani, distributor, ecu, cat back, and some dress up parts. when I reinstalled everything, it would crank and not fire, so I started tracking down issues, found that the injector was staying open on cylinder 4. I converted it back to obd0 and it fired up. stummped, so I put it back to obd1 and tried a different ecu, same problem. I replaced the distributor with a brand new obd1 td44 and it fired up, but the injector is still staying open. I checked continuity to the ecu and the wiring is good, so now im checking grounds. I find it weird that it runs as obd0, but with the conversion Im having an issue?

Has anybody else dealt with that?

ok, made a new sunharness today and bypassed all existing wiring. that fixed the problem with the injector. now I'm throwing code 41, which is heated o2. the RyWire ecu conversion uses
position b1 to go to the injector power on the obd0 harness. and the subharness supplies the wires to the heated o2 sensor. so if the factory obd1 uses b1 to supply pet to the injectors and o2, could that be the problem?
