1990 SI owner says the cam gear stripped and car jumped timing - asking $800 said it's an easy fix and has new cam gear? I kind of smell BS what do you think? Shows some rust rockers, tailgate, and rear fenders...

Usually if you stripped the gear, its due to lack of oil, the cam ends up being damaged as well as the head( this happened to my mini swap). The head and cam become garbage. You would need a new head maybe, setup the timing again, and anytime theres rear quarter panel damage, thats 100$ off, cuz you cant really fix it unless you know how to repair body damage

Body is rough and has rust spots. Interior is in good shape.

The thing is that the crx is my first car , I'm turning 16 in a few days and getting my permit , and i want to be able to take another person with me when I drive but the crx doesn't have backseats , so the hatch would be good cause of the rear seats . I would be able to test drive it but I'd have to be careful cause I have no license yet

u nvr know what some1 has done to a car until u start driving it. considering u already own a crx, i would assume it runs etc and u have a idea of the status. as for the hatch, i dislike the euro lights, which means other things may have been done or half ***'d so just be weary.

You guys are all right , I don't mind the euro lights but I'm considering the trade cause of the rear seats , I love my crx even though I only drive it around my block and stuff since I have no license , but I'll be needing back seats so I can take more people while on a permit . And I'm gonna go take a look at it since it's my friends hatch

just a option. but crx si have the bench, where as the base model crx's have back seats? and if im a moron and wrong, u can just grab the rear seats from a civic and make it work lol

I'm fairly certain the European and some jdm crx's have back seats. Imo, they will be really cramped. So cramped your rear passengers will ask for a hack saw to cut off their own legs to be more comfortable. I've had two guys pushing 180lbs each in the back of my rex and I was bottoming out on level roads if they moved an inch the wrong way.

Crx back seat is over rated. It was standard in Europe and Japan, but only the smallest people will fit back there. Without seatbelts too, unless you drop the tank to mount the buckles. Got mine from a guy via Germany, I liked it better than the compartment but I just threw my coat back there. Nothing wrong with a 2 seater until you get married.

I still don't see why you want to have back seats! I hate having more than just a passenger in the car. Hopefully you don't have full bodies or springs on your car and load up this crx over the rated weight

95' Type R Tranny
Good condition, very little surface rust under. Panels and paint are in good condition, very few blemishes. The swap looks pretty clean, they did a partial wire tuck also.
Mostly, stock except for: Skunk2 IM, Skunk2 TB, Golden Eagle fuel rail, Hasport mounts, and MSD ignition.
Only downside I can see so far is that the title is a salvage, but not due to flood/crash/hail/junk/lemon - So I'm still investigating as to why the title is rebuilt. Current owner "doesn't know."
Seller is asking $4500
Looking for opinions.

i bought my sedan for $3500 with a '96 B18c1 ITR trans. Had one rust spot, Skunk2 IM, Omni 70mm tb, Hasport mounts, Skunk2 springs and clean title. I believe the big difference is the area.
