Default Bouncy front end after new tie rod installation

Installed new inner and outer tie rod ends on my 2000 crv and had alignment done. Ever since doing all of this I noticed the front suspension is very harsh over speed bumps and such. It doesnt continue bouncing like worn shocks would. Its just very stiff feeling as if I have no shocks or springs at all. When the back tires go over the bump it feels normal. This started immediately after nnw tie rods before and after alignment. Any idea why my suspension would feel way worse after doing tie rods? I am considering doing new struts but I'm concerned about harsh ride. This is my girlfriends car so I want the ride to be comfortable not bouncy. If you guys think its struts, can someone recommend the closest to stock struts as possible? Also the car has 193k miles and im not sure if or when the shocks have been replaced. We got it with 175k and it rode great up until the tie rod change
