2018 CR-V how to service rear brakes with electronic parking brake
Hello all.
Generally before winter every year, I disassemble my brakes, clean up the hardware, lube the pins, and ensure everything is moving properly. We have a 2018 CR-V that has an electronic parking brake. I don't want to damage the parking brake mechanism due to ignorance, so what has to be done to allow the piston to be retracted into the rear calipers? I've serviced many Fords with the electronic parking brakes, and they have a service mode that can be easily accessed from the instrument cluster. How does thot work for Honda?

You need an electronic service tool to release the brake pistons, there are many on the market I personally use Autel MD802
